What I have been up to...

Hello All-

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Between Hannah's birthday, getting sick (both she and I), having my inlaws in town, etc. etc., my computer time has been greatly reduced! Anyway, I wanted to post some pictures of one of my latest projects...

I knitted these scarves for my niece Olivia and her American Girl doll. (The photo is of my doll...Olivia is going to send me photos of she and her doll.) Though these projects aren't super difficult, I am happy with how they came out.
I have a few other project going on, but I'm going to have to wait until they are done to post the photos...gotta love crafting gifts!!
I'll write more soon...

I haven't forgotten...

Hello to anyone who reads this blog!! I haven't forgotten that I started this blog, contrary to popular belief. I have been crafting away, however the two projects I have been working on are both presents. I would hate to post photos and have the surprises ruined.
One of the projects is ready to be mailed out, so once I know that it has arrived at it's new home, I will post photos. I promise!!!! In the meantime, check out my other blog, here.
Take care and I'll write more when I can!!!

Ouch!!!

Well, once I finish my first of three presents for some of the ladies in my life (I'd tell you what I am working on, but that would ruin the surprise!!), I have to take a break from knitting. Between the yarn and the dry air here in Calgary, my hands are screaming for moisture. If anyone has any suggestions for how to treat beyond dry skin on your hands, PLEASE let me know!!! I guess this means my poncho is on hold too. Oh well, I have some computer projects to work on, and maybe now I'll blog a bit more.

Have a great week!!!

What I have been up to...

Hello
Since I have been here in Calgary, I have tried to stay busy. Since I didn't have any of my craft supplies for two and a half weeks, I went to Michaels and picked up some new knitting needles and yarn, and started this poncho for myself. It is an easy pattern, but is taking me a while to make any real progress. I love the yarn and the style of the poncho, so I am sure that I will finish this...it just might take me a while.

I also went to the store last week and picked up some seeds. They had quite a selection of early starters, so I grabbed four different kinds and went to town! A shopping trip to IKEA led me to this really cool mini-greenhouse and the violets and spider plant inside.
I found a bunch of unfinished projects in a tote during the move, so I think I will try to clean them up before strting too many other projects. I do have something in mind as a gift for some family members...I'll give more details soon about that.
Well, I am off to take a shower and work on unpacking some more boxes...gotta love it when Hannah takes long naps!!!!

Intro

Hello All-

I decided to start this blog to showcase some of the projects that I am working on. I figure that if I convince myself that people are reading this and following along, I cannot disapoint "them" and not finish what I have started. Call if an electronic kick in the pants. Please feel free to post any comments, suggestions, or questions!!!

Thanks!
Sharon
