Well, this isn't really my first hat, since I made a baby one about a week ago. That one wasn't a 100% success, so right now I'm not counting it. So, with that said, here is my first "adult" hat! I did the whole thing on circular needles and it took me less than 24 hours.
The pattern I used is the Emergency Rolled Brim Hat from "Knit: A Personal Handbook" by Melanie Falick
(The photo makes it looks super pointy in the top, but it really isn't...I used a tomato stake to hold it up)

Thanks!!!! I really have to learn how to use dpns to finish things off properly...not bad for circs though.
